Discover the stunning countyside around Kununurra with the help of an experienced guide. Each walk is between 3 and 5km in length with occassional steep climbs and descents through rugged terrain.

While these walks are not for the faint-hearted, they are designed for genial nature lovers who like a challenge.

So if you are of reasonable fitness and an early riser - why not discover Kununurra on foot. You will need boots or covered in footwear, water (carried in a backpack) and long trousers or gaiters. Your boots may get wet and muddy on some walks - but we promise, the effort will be worth the reward.

Cable Beach Resort and Broome Cycles proudly present the second-annual Gibb River Road Mountain Bike Challenge in support of Police Legacy. Join this five-day, team relay adventure from Derby along the iconic stock route of the Gibb River Road to Kununurra. Teams of between two and six riders will compete for great spot prizes and bragging rights. Entry fees include overnight camping, wilderness camp fees, a riding jersey, and all meals. Don’t miss this opportunity to challenge yourself, take in the amazing countryside and enjoy the companionship of your fellow mountain-bikers. Telescopic Roger’s Comedy Sky Nights come to town armed with four 10” astronomical telescopes, a digital projector, and screen. After presenting a comical introduction to the nights viewing, Telescopic Roger will conduct a light-hearted telescopic exploration of our star-filled skies.
