Enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the Kununurra Markets every Saturday throughout the Muster. Feast on an abundance of locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables, savour the organically brewed coffee and pick-up a memento of your stay from the array of new and used products, including stunning photographic prints, hand-made cards, clothing, crafts and more.
This event will also be held on Saturday May 16 and 23.

Ord Valley Muster Triathlon

Last year almost 80 competitors participated in the inaugural Muster Triathlon, testing their endurance through the short or long course competitions. You can enter as an individual or, if you prefer, gather a group of friends and try out as a team. Short course competitors will complete a 250 metre swim, 6.6 kilometre cycle and 2 kilometre run – or for the more adventurous try the long course (750 metre swim, 20 kilometre cycle and 5 kilometre run). There’s even a fully supervised kids only ‘Come and Tri’ mini triathlon for the little ones to enjoy.
Long course: 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run
Short Course: 250m swim, 6.6km cycle, 2km run
Come and try Kids Micro: 25m swim, 1km cycle, 200m run
Swim: The swim leg is conducted entirely at the Kununurra Leisure Centre’s 25m swimming pool. Wave starts will be allocated depending on division and will be assigned during registration. Long course athletes will complete 750m (30 laps) and short course athletes 250m (10 laps) before exiting the water and heading for transition to commence the bike leg.
Cycle: Competitors enter the cycle course on Coolibah Drive and head towards Ivanhoe road. Turning right onto Ivanhoe Road, competitors travel north almost 2km before reaching the turnaround where they will continue past Coolibah Drive before heading back towards transition and the run leg. Short course complete this course once, long course complete the Ivanhoe Road loop three times before returning to transition.
Run: Competitors enter the run course on Coolibah Drive and head towards Kununurra District High School and Kununurra Child Care Centre. Turning right into Chestnut Drive and again at Rod Honnett Drive, runners will run to the shire car park and past the Anzac memorial to complete a lap. Short Course participants complete two laps while long course competitors complete four.

The pinnacle event of the Argyle Diamonds Ord Valley Muster, the Airnorth Kimberley Moon Experience returns for the seventh year on Saturday May 9, 2009.
Staged on the banks of the majestic Ord River at the Jim Hughes Amphitheatre, the Kimberley Moon Experience attracts visitors from all over Australia and overseas to picnic on the lawn; take in the spectacular views; admire the impressive water, light and fireworks displays; and kick up their heels to an inspiring range of Australian musical talent.
Featuring a star-studded entertainment line-up including popular Australian party band, the Hoodoo Gurus this is an event not to be missed.
